Danorubicin Shortage

Recent news to the childhood cancer community has parents concerned over shortage of a drug called "Daunorubicin". This drug is essential therapy for children with leukemia - is in desperately short supply. Our Congressman,Michael T. McCaul, District 10 for the State of Texas and Congressman Chris Van Hollen the co-chairs of the Congressional Childhood Cancer Caucus, sent the following letters to the Food and Drug Administration and Teva Pharmaceuticals, the sole remaining supplier of the drug.
