Sleigh Fund/Gift Card Drive.
Each holiday season, AAM rallies to bring the Christmas spirit to regional families who are fighting childhood cancer in addition to being the only organization invited to host the Christmas Party at the Children's Cancer Hospital of M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas. AAM works closely with the hospital to determine a handful of specific gifts that all fitting for all ages and gender. Funds raised during our Sleigh Fund/Gift Card Drive are used to purchase the specific gifts. Additionally, the gift cards are used to assist families all year long.
Gifts will be delivered to the hospital by our Christmas Party Committee Chairs. The hospital staff will distribute the gifts on the designated date chosen by AAM and CCH/MDA. The inpatients receiving the gifts will also have the opportunity to have a Virtual Santa Visit, hosted by Kathlyn Dragna Photography and AAM.
Our official kick off for the Sleigh Fund/Gift Card Drive typically starts the Thursday before Thanksgiving and continues through the first or second Saturday in December; however, no donation is ever too early or too late.
